Sinossi: La sera del festeggiamento per la centesima rappresentazione consecutiva di “Trappola per topi” all’Ambassadors di Londra, il regista hollywoodiano Leo Kopernick, incaricato di portare sul grande schermo la fortunata pièce, viene barbaramente assassinato nel dietro le quinte del teatro, e poi “messo in scena”, al centro del palcoscenico, seduto sul divano. Ad indagare sul caso è l’ispettore Stoppard, affiancato dall’agente Stalker, aspirante sergente di Scotland Yard, chiacchierona, cinefila, e molto meno sprovveduta di quel che può sembrare a prima vista. |

Recensione di Rossella Pozza: “Trappola per topi” di Agatha Christie è diventata famosa per essere il più longevo spettacolo del West End, con le sue 27mila repliche in 68 anni. L’idea di portarla sul grande schermo è perfetta per incastonare una finzione nella finzione, con un meccanismo a scatole cinesi, dal quale è un vero piacere essere avvolti. Un film ironico, al limite della comicità. Una struttura narrativa molto ben congegnata per un giallo che si prende gioco dei gialli. Tutto funziona a meraviglia. Con colpi di scena a ripetizione (tipici dei programmi per la tv di qualità dai quali provengono sia il regista Tom George che lo sceneggiatore Marck Chappell, già suo fido collaboratore da molto tempo). Gli interpreti sono impagabili. Un grande e riuscito intrattenimento.
