Recensione di Catello Masullo: La storia vera della vedova di Philippe Clicquot, proprietario di vigneti e produttore di Champagne, è una vicenda epica, che racconta della prima imprenditrice di sesso femminile d’Europa, in un periodo, tra fine ‘700 ed inizi ‘800, in cui i vigenti codici napoleonici dell’epoca proibivano in Francia le imprese a conduzione femminile. Restata vedova a soli 27 anni, in un mondo totalmente dominato dagli uomini, il sistema cerca di schiacciarla in ogni mondo. Tutto le rema contro, a cominciare dal suocero, che è anche suo socio. Ma la caparbietà, la forza, il grande talento della indomita Barbe-Nicole Ponsardin Clicquot, resiste alle enormi pressioni, creando tecniche rivoluzionarie ancora oggi utilizzate dalla gran parte dei produttori di Champagne. Film di scrittura solida, di regia capace e di interpretazioni eccellenti. Da non perdere.
